The WE Will! K-16 Collaborative represents a multi-sector and intersegmental collaboration, uniting Merced, San Joaquin, and Stanislaus Counties. We are honored to have been awarded a K-16 Regional Collaborative grant, which seeks to equitably enhance K-16 Career Pathways in Healthcare and Education, while also addressing the following Recovery with Equity Recommendations:
- Provide high-tech, high touch advising
- Support college preparation and early credit
- Cultivate inclusive, engaging, and equity-oriented learning environments
- Improve college affordability
WE Will! funded a total of 31 projects within the tri-county region with a total award of $10,686,147. Round 2 will award approximately $3.7 million in funding, which will place an emphasis on the Recovery with Equity Strategies to enhance out regional overarching goals:
1. Increase the number of socio-economically disadvantaged high school students that transition to and through a community college to a four-year institution.
2. Increase dual enrollment offerings, participation, and course completion along with FAFSA/CADAA completion for socio-economically disadvantaged students for the regions’ TK-12 student population.
3. Increase the number of students participating in quality work-based learning experiences in the healthcare and education industry sectors.
4. Improve TK-12 college and career readiness by increasing A-G completion rates, increasing a-g approved course offerings, and increasing CTE healthcare and education pathway completion rates.
If you feel that your strategies or initiatives align with our grant program's objectives and can yield tangible results starting January 2025 through June 2026, we invite you and your partners to fill out the sub award project application. Each sub-award project application can be budgeted up to $200,000 for the grant cycle.
Projects will be scored on metrics that directly correlate with our Career Pathways, Recovery with Equity Recommendations, Overarching Goals, and collaboration across the tri-county region. Partnership and collaboration (or the intent to partner) across sectors and counties is strongly encouraged, as is the implementation of a variety of work-based learning strategies.
