WE Will! Collaborative Takes Center Stage at Press Conference with Governor Newsom

On April 2, 2026, McKenna Salazar, Executive Director of the WE Will! K16 Collaborative, was invited to attend a press conference hosted by Governor Gavin Newsom at Modesto Junior College.

During the event, Salazar highlighted the ongoing efforts and achievements of the WE Will initiative, emphasizing the commitment and collaboration of its partners across K-12/COE, post-secondary institutions, and industry sectors. These efforts continue to support the region's four Recovery with Equity pillars.

Governor Newsom expressed particular appreciation for the collaborative’s name, WE (Workforce + Education), and the positive impact it is having on the region's trajectory.
