The WE Will K16 Collaborative hosted a Community of Practice Workshop on February 24, 2026, focused on strengthening the use of California College Guidance Initiative (CCGI) tools to support college and career readiness efforts across the region. The workshop brought together 98 attendees, including 84 K-12 representatives (86%), 11 postsecondary partners (11%), and 3 industry representatives (3%), demonstrating strong cross-sector engagement. Participants engaged in professional learning centered on career exploration tools, college and career planning, educator reports, and strategies to improve A-G completion rates through data-informed practices and student support systems.
Participant feedback highlighted the value of learning how to effectively run and interpret reports, utilize data to support Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions, and collaborate with other districts to share implementation strategies and best practices. Many attendees noted that the hands-on guidance, platform updates, and discussions surrounding career planning tools and educator resources increased their confidence and understanding of how to better support students through the CCGI platform.
