2nd Annual WE Will! IN ACTION! Work Based Learning Summit

The WE Will K16 Collaborative hosted the Work-Based Learning in Action! Summit at CSU Stanislaus on February 3, 2026, bringing together 175 attendees representing K-12 education, postsecondary institutions, and industry partners from across the region. Participant representation included 43.2% K-12 stakeholders, 30.1% postsecondary partners, and 26.7% industry representatives, highlighting the strong cross-sector collaboration and commitment to advancing career-connected learning opportunities for students. The summit featured keynote speaker Rachel Mann, whose presentation emphasized the importance of preparing students for the evolving workforce through intentional partnerships, innovation, and career-connected learning experiences. Throughout the day, attendees participated in networking opportunities, breakout sessions, collaborative discussions, and a student panel that highlighted the impact of work-based learning on student success and career exploration. The summit provided a valuable platform for educators, workforce leaders, and industry professionals to share best practices, strengthen partnerships, and explore strategies to expand equitable access to meaningful work-based learning experiences throughout the region.
