Thursday, November 13th, at the Volt Institute in Stanislaus County, WE Will had the honor of supporting the morning session of a two-day regional visit. The session was highlighted by a special visit from Kaina Pereira, Director of the California Workforce Development Board. In attendance were key project partners from across the Northern San Joaquin Valley, representing the collaborative efforts both WE Will! and North Valley THRIVE partnerships recognized statewide for their strong, integrated approach to regional alignment.
The morning brought together leaders from education, workforce, and industry to explore how the Northern San Joaquin Valley can continue advancing the California Master Plan for Career Education. Discussion centered on how local investments in career technical education and workforce development are aligning with the State’s broader vision for a cohesive, future-ready system designed to meet emerging regional needs.
Director Pereira’s visit provided an opportunity to showcase the progress, shared successes, and ongoing work unfolding across the region. His engagement underscored the value of hearing directly from those leading the efforts on the ground, those whose commitment is shaping the future of workforce and career education in the Northern San Joaquin Valley.
